What our guests say
It's my first time making jewelry and it was really education and fun! I have seen Origami Crane earrings for sale and I really wanted one for my own but I never found the right colour or design. I am so glad that I am able to make my own Origami Crane earrings where I can choose everything from the washi paper design to the finishing of the add-ons. Mai was really sweet and friendly! She met us outside the street and brought us to the beautiful house and also gave us a tour around the place before starting the class. My husband and I felt very welcomed and comfortable with her. I will definitely recommend this class to anyone who love beautiful handmade jewelry and enjoy making things with their own hands! My husband had more fun than me and he said it's the best class he ever attended plus he gets to make a special pair of earrings for me. 🙂
Mai was such an amazing host. She went through everything step by step with us and made sure we were always on the right track. She helped us make sure we created something that was really 'us', using different paper and beads. Mai was also really patient with us which was needed haha. She also made sure we were comfortable, gave us a great tour of the building, and even met us halfway from the station as we were a bit lost. Definitely do this experience, as you get to make some really special jewelry yourself, and Mai is a superstar.
Mai has been absolutely amazing - from the beginning, all the way until the end and beyond! Her English is perfect and we were able to talk and learn about each other through the entire experience. She talked about Japan, about Origami and I felt like we really connected. She made pictures through the experience and she shared those with me after the class. I even got 2 small booklets about Origami as a present. Overall- if you have a crafty soul like I do, definitely go for this experience. You will have an amazing present to take home with you
We had such a wonderful time creating origami jewelry with Mai. She is a brilliant teacher and we quickly gained confidence in our ability to fold properly and to create something beautiful. It was evident that Mia has great passion for her work and that positive attitude was very contagious. For anyone that speaks primarily English, please know that Mia is very fluent and easy to understand. We greatly enjoyed our class with Mia and are very happy to know that we made a great friend along with some beautiful earrings that we will cherish. We give her the highest rating possible. If you are in Osaka, don’t miss a special day with this kind and generous lady.
We joined Mai's Origami Jewelry experience, and it will remain one of our best memories from our one year trip in Japan. Mai is really sweet, talented and patient. Even though we thought it would be hard, she taught us really clearly how to fold the paper and always let us enough time so we could progress without any stress. She was so nice she even let us create extra little amulets that we were able to bring back home, alongside the earrings we created and some really cool presents. Mai will make you feel comfortable from the start. She is so cheerful and clear in her explanations. Also, even in the case you would only be speaking English, don't worry, as her English is really good. Thank you for this amazing experience Mai!
